I live in San Francisco, where I work in libraries & academic publishing, think & write about art, and occasionally teach in the MFA program at CCA.
Art writing: My criticism, essays, and interviews related to art and aesthetics have appeared in Art-Agenda, Artforum, Frieze, MOMUS, The Believer, BOMB, The Brooklyn Rail, Vice Motherboard, Art21, Performa Magazine, Raw Vision, Art Papers, SFAQ, and SFMOMA's Open Space platform, among other places. I have written catalog essays for numerous institutions and galleries, including Bergen Kunsthall and Columbia College's A+D Gallery.
Teaching: I occasionally teach in the Graduate Program in Fine Arts at California College of the Arts, where I lead the MFA written thesis seminar.
Volunteering: I am a regular volunteer in the Access Department at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. I am also a passionate Wikipedian and frequently collaborate to produce edit-a-thons focused on creating visibility for underrepresented people, places, and history.
